I have a job!
I’m no longer a poor waif, wandering the streets of Valentine like a listless vagabond.
I was hired last night by the State of South Dakota. I’ll be working for the child protection agency at Rosebud Indian Reservation. My job will be to talk with children whose parents have abuse and neglect allegations, and to determine if and what kind of services they need in order to keep their children.
I’m really excited about this new job. I’ll get to continue working with children in trouble, and I think it will be a good step up from Orchard Place.
I start on the 18th of January.
Woohoo! It’s a shame you don’t get Arbor Day off like I do

Awesome! …and technically I’m an employee of the State of Montana, so here’s to us government workers!

I wish I worked for the state. We are eternally separated. You know with the whole separation of church and state.
